Hard to know for sure, but I'd have thought it should be OK at that though.

If the rings have not sealed in 600 miles there is some thing up, Not sure I agree with his logic neather, More boost normaly seals rings harder not make them leak ? Edited by PaulH on 6th Jul, 2009. On 17th Feb, 2009 Rob H said:

how many breathers do you have on this engine? Is it simply a case of too much crank case pressure?? On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:

As an alternative thought has your cylinder head been pressure tested and checked for flatness? Maybe a crack? If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

Only the two, flywheel housing and timing cover. Have those little breathers on them, Richard has recomended that I remove them and give it a go. Just a bit odd it started as the boost increased?

on the way home i was thinking it could do with more/bigger breathers.

I would expect the engine to breath a bit more under more boost, mine use to chuck loads of oil out, so much so I got black flagged at combe once. I simply added anothe breather and the problem went away. On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:
