Thought you were doing that tonight?

We also have to service the van.

The wife has different ideas and I need to sort out those 4 pots....

The van won't take long, maybe do the mini tomorrow as well...

Sorry Anton but that 10 minutes was hilarious. Id go so far as saying one of the highlights of my life

lol... I wasn't sure whether to be embarrassed or laugh myself... friggin thing... its always suffered with the weber coming lose, thread lock never worked... now I know why...

never had the dustbin lid come off tho before... that was just weird.

as for the bonnet, that was my own stupid numpty self fault... all fixed tho now, just need some paint.

I hate mini's!

Anyone know if the track is open for use on the Friday?.. Im tempted to go down lunch time and get an extra afternoons worth of practice in (or make sure nothing else is going to fall of :) )

I've never known the track open on the Friday, you can turn up and get set up ready for Sat though, year before last I was the first person there I think, at about midday.

After a busy weekend we have the 998 EFi Turbo running on boost.

A few jobs to sort out and some more mapping to do, but we should be there on Sunday.

Well ive been very ill the last couple of weeks but Ive battled against it the last few days to get my new engine built, in the car and running. Looks like my car will be there. Just hope the illness goes this week.

Paul

I seriously doubt it!

I'll be there regardless but its getting right down to the wire with having the car ready and mapped. We shall see though - I'm finishing work at 2pm every day this week so there is hope.

re. the earlier comments about tickets.....

I ordered mine a week ago "in advance" from the website and today a letter arrived, no ticket, just a letter telling me I have to go somewhere (and presumably queue up for ages) to collect my ticket.....

Is this normal for this event because every other similar event I've been to (usually Ford), by booking a ticket in advance, I get an actual ticket in the post and don't have to queue up ???

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

I will be very surprised if you have to queue at Avon. It is not a busy event.

First time I went to the Showdown in 2006 I thought I had gone to the wrong place as the entry road was deserted.

If you turn up mid-morning on Sunday, you will get straight in.

I've never seen any hookups, there might be some in the pits, but that would mean camping on tarmac.

Just read this on there website

"The track policy is perfectly clear on this, any car dropping fluids will NOT be allowed to race! "

That means every Mini in the world then
