think i cracked a few ringlands on sunday there while testing (the water/meth injection jet blocked up, on the bright side, i know it works lol!). Need to throw a new engine together in this miserable rain, but i'll be there.

I checked this too last night, bloody weather.

accuweather has a reasonable forcast. Sunny on Friday, occasional showers on sat day, rain sat night and showers on sunday.

Perfect tenting weather

I'm not sure I'm going to be able to make it this year. There was more damage done to my engine at Lydden Hill than I thought. After getting the crank thrust face's cleaned up, I have now found that the heat has distorted my main caps/block. The engine is now getting line bored, and I want be able to start putting it together untill Friday night.

Is I sad that I feel like a kid at christmas... can't wait.. got all the parts I need should be running tonight, with test drive to work tomorrow

I had the fabled 5 minutes last night. Everything worked, it was running really well and I didn't break down. No doubt I'll blow it up on the way down or something

I think Jim has plenty of time to get his car back together. If not, do it on the side of the track at Avon! perfect bedding in ground.

Line bore is a little more than just taking the engine apart and putting it back together. Waiting on the machine shop takes the most time, mind you, I took mine in on the monday and had it back the wednesday evening

Bugger, just went out in the 998 EFi Turbo.

Going OK, came on boost for about the third time and then it just died.

Got it idling, but it would not rev. Dead altogether now.

Had to get towed home by the MD who was then late for work

After such an operation would a thorough dry build would also be in order? To ensure everything else is tip top?

I'm still desperately trying to get mine finished so I can bring it along. Its not far off actually - little bit of painting to finish tonight, finish installing the fuel system, fit turbo, exhaust, intercooler and radiator, wire up fan, then the big one - get it running with the Megaquirt!

Still, even if its not ready, I'll be setting off Friday evening about 7pm from sunny Lancashire to head down. Looking forward to the Saturday night frivolities. I think I've only met Tom, Carl, Matty, Nic and a couple of others though, so I'll just come over and make a nuisance of myself!
