Got all the front end bolted on today to sort the panel gaps out. The wings weren't a great fit, the profile at the front was nowhere near that of the bonnet

Look much better than the gaps to start with! Whats the idea behind the paint on the edges between bonnet and wing? On 24th Oct, 2015 jonny f said:

CO2 Fire extinguisher connected to your MIG? Did the regulator just bolt straight on, is there a specific style of bottle to look out for ?

Cheers mate. The regulator was bought from machine mart, not sure which one it is as I bought it quite a while ago now but it does bolt straight up to the co2 fire extinguisher. There's no specific type as all co2 extinguishers use the same type of valve so the thread is the same. Alls you have to do when using it is to keep the handles compressed, pretty obvious but I have seen others struggle with that part.

Started on changing the indicator plinths back to original. Didn't realise m machine made the smaller ones until recently, at first i thought i would have to leave it with the larger ones.

The difference is the size of the flat circular plinth that the lense sits on, if you look at the before picture around the lense rubber there is about 10mm of the flat plinth showing whereas with the conversion panel welded in the plinth is the same size as the lense |

A mini is born! Front end is mostly welded on, couple of bits that were hard to access still to do once its back on the spit.
