Or if you have Vista you may have a program called "Snipping Tool" which helps you capture the bit you want.

Cr is believed to be iro 8.5:1, head has 28cc +20 pistons with 10cc dish, std stroke. Have checked the peak boost read out on my boost controller and it reads 14.2 pound.

Don't forget with the cast omegas your 40 thou down the bore with a stock deck height. From my calcs you might be a bit lower than 8.5:1, not that this post really helps you much of course! Really sorry for you!:( On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:

maybe those will be ok ? i hope! thanks for the races we had shane. 28 does seem a lot ,id expect more in the region of 24 ish . Been thinking about the map, firstly couldnt be fucked to go out and check, opted for a bottle of red instead. Been checking the maps I have used on previous roller sessions. If memory serves correct when we tested engine no2 (the 40 a day smoker) I think Ray dialed the extra 2 degrees to compenate for inaccuracy in the sensor position, so effectively max advance is 26? in the nicest way mate, that map's basic at best, even if the max advance is correct your definately not making the best of the engine. though if the max advance is indeed det-free then the map shouldnt have done any harm.. turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

That looks very much like Jackmans did after his trip back from IMM Denmark. That was pre ignition after unknowingly putting 92 unleaded in an engine best suited for 97 and a minimum of 95. Spark plug had melted.

Agree dennis, but you have to start somewhere. Colin, I make a point of onlt running 97 ron, normally Bp super unleaded. Appreciate the optimism about it not being terminal, but unfornatly doubt it. long as your aware mate :) try get yourself a wideband, could be some kidn of issue on transition, gearchanges, acceleration etc that affect the fueling on teh road but cannot be replicated on the dyno. really hope the pistons are salvageable, if its any conselation, i have absolutely destroyed a piston liner and conrod and im sure were no the only casualties. chin up :) turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

Yes, hopefully. But depends on the cash situation, at the moment it all hinges on two things, damaged caused and pay day. Reluctant to throw another wedge of notes at it for the two and a half months left this year it will be on the road?

I appreciate what your saying nick, but after seeing the difference in quality between the mega range and the omegas, im reluctant to fit a cheap piston. I know I have had faiures with both but the omegas went due to poor quality. Tho £90 a set is temting, but then its finding a stockist then getting them machiened, with the omegas I know MED have them on the shelf.
