Reminder to Self: AFR sample lines get very hot and melt cables *frown*

I thought the same when I was looking at the way it all crams in the engine bay so I bought a roll of exhaust wrap tape - haven't tried it yet, it only arrived today and I've been let down by (new) Avonbar on the last parts I needed so I can't finish assembling it yet to test it anyway *frown*

The worst bit was breaking down opposite the local ford dealer with a big sign saying "Trade in you old car and get £2000 of the price of a new one" - Very tempting !!!!

Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."
Stephen Hawking - "The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge."

What' are the rules with regards to windows (or lack of them)? I know they have to be wound up when running, but if you don't have any can you still run? Im only talking front side windows, not sure I'll have enough time to make some! *oh well*

The guildines say:

"Windows must be closed when racing."

Doesn't say that the car must have a full set of windows.

But it also says:

"Shakespeare County Raceway reserves the right to define additional rules governing the running of the event and will advise all registered entrants accordingly. Track managements decision is final in any situation or dispute. "

Make of that what you will.

I reckon you would need to take a skid lid if you have no side windows.

Anyone who doesnt wear a helmet on the strip, what ever the car, is taking a risk, whether the rules say so or not. Just look what happened to Turbo Shed at MITP

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Though you could keep it , theyr'e really embarassing, I've too much.

I'll not come with the mini as I didn't though to have this week end free,so she's dismantled to build the efi downdraught port one,
though I certainly have removed the turbo parts a bit fast as I would have liken to see the result on a 1/4 mile with the k16, priority valve, high c/r, and s3 cooler. She was a bomb to ride!

IF you have a convertible then you have to have your arms strapped down. This may apply for no windows too

Or you may have to run days of thunder style window nets

with nic on this one, you will need arm restraints might even get away with rope but one of the tracks sells a nice restraint as i rember gav having to buy some for the speedster

Im currently running in my forged engine this week as would love to turn up the nitrous to the next level.
