The cage is definitely OTT, but I'm working on the theory that if I have to carry the several kg of cage I might as well add a few more bars and make it work for me.

I'll definitely take you up on that offer although at the moment I'm still in the throws of getting the shell exactly how I want it.

Welded a couple of threaded inserts into the heal bar for the lower harness mounts, then decided to add a bit of triangulation to the heal bar & of course some more gussets.

Really wish I'd notched the box section that runs across in front of the seats and sunk the sill bars into it.

Don't be silly there's not a Cat in hells chance it'll be ready, it's taken over two years to get this far.

There's a 50/50 chance I'll have the 16v death trap with me at Avon, but I'm not sure if my balls are big enough to drive it.

Are they 5x10 GB wheels?
Look a bit lost under the arches - I presume you've got something else intended!

They're 6x10 GB and are only being used for mock up, along with the air suspension, here's one of the sets of wheels which I'll be running:

I was trying to get hand-job in there as well but the best I could do was handraulic.

Stoke-on-Trent. Duck.

Good luck fitting the mig arches to the clubby, I think the word you need to keep in mind is "patience"...

I'm toying over tying the rear strut brace to the bulkhead with a large gusset, to help stiffen up the back, what you you guys reckon?

I really think it'll be strong enough as is mate.

The real problem here I think is your adiction to large gussets!

I wold have thought with the bars going through the bulkhead being welded there, and the cross brace going between the arches you should be nice and stiff on the ass end.

There's nothing wrong with my gusset addiction!

Fitted my steel A panels & half the wings this morning, I know that Wil & Ben don't have them as they are not unitary but I though as a new comer it'll be best that I try and keep the scruts happy.

Was wondering if you were going to bother, guess its esier this way as it saves any arguments later on.

They look strange with half missing, but fitted neatly.

Done a bit more on the front end, slowly getting there but its a pig of a job and the weather outside is too nice to stay the garage.
