Indeed.

I'd rather deal with ABS to as I have in the past and all I cn say is spot on service and their stuff seems to fit well enough......

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

Yes easy to cut them off.

But better to keep them on IMO. If you are having a 2-piece front then you never need to 'flip' the front, which means you don't have to cut your arches in half.

Much better idea IMO

Been thinking about this and I'm tempted to stick with steal A panels so I can change to external hinges & more importantly fibreglass doors at a later date.

Rob, I'd leave the steel A panels too but only as it wll help with the "invisible" mounting of the front end (you know how I like my cars just so ...)

I don't like fibreglass doors having had kit cars ..... They normally are impossible to make seal well enough keep the weather out and most mini ones seem to open up at the top at speed ..... the last thing you need when trying to turn fast laps is a distraction like that!!!

I am going to use the "Street Fighter" doors from the mini door company. Basically normal internal hinged doors stripped of all un necessary weight, alloy skinned and with either fixed or sliding glass / lexan windows.
My guess is they will fit and stay shut much better!!!

For fibre doors you don't need external hinges, ours use the standard hinge. I don't think we would have a hope od sealing them though. And as roger says at high speed they do open a bit at the top. It had never caused much of a destraction though, plenty of other thing to think about at 100+.

just finished fitting my ABS 2 piece clubby fibo front, the one with built in a panels.
im happy with it now but its took months to get right.
firstly the a panels wernt long enough to meet the sill. so i had to cut the bottom off and extend them.
secondly the tops of the wings dipped down and in the corners where they meet the scuttle were to low so a lot of building up was required.
thirdly there were a few airbubbles under the gel coat.
all in all now its a good fit and im happy with it but it did take much more work than i ever thought to get it to fit nice. on a race car you might not be so bothered. ive mounted it in 12 places but it doesnt take long to remove. im at work now but ill try and post some pics tonite or tomorrow nite.

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

I have had doors and boot lid from dave kimberley. His stuff is good value, but can need a bit of finishing.

I will buy from him again.
