Cheers for the cam info John. *happy*

Was yours the car in PPC?

As I said, I think the only thing you really need to fit an A series in is a mini. Rover V8's drop right in and with the sale of the KAD engine, you could buy a 5L crank, a silly cam and a couple of TVR heads.

So for 1460 (?) turbo, what class does that put you in? Judging by the performance put in by matey (2L turbo) he does very well in Sports Libre, up against a mini maguire and a load of Mallock single seaters. The chassis is good for it.

Bugger off, I'm getting there.

They fit rover V8's in minis if you want !

Forced induction gets 1.4 index so will be in over 2L modprod saloons [upsetting lots of modern hot hatches ]

If you think a 2L turbo moggy can do anything in sports libra [except give the driver lots of brown pants and a huge grin ] then you should go to prescot or shelsey walsh .

on subject of PPC just bought nov. issue no 16v turbo mini on cover but bit about Jimsters' on the rollers [ He's a quiet fellow isnt he ? ] Theres also article on pg 54 about fastest scimitar in world - yours truely gets a few mentions !!

I assume you are still doing Speed events so putting a Turbo on is going to bump you up a class (1400-2000cc). You are going to need as you say 230bhp+. There are two routes low boost high CR and wild cams or mild cams, low CR and high boost. I cannot see L14s and 5psi boost giving you the kind of power you are looking for/need.

Reprofiling the L14s is the cheapest way but as you know the L14s need 10.5 + CR to work so even if you ran them at a paltry 9 (high by turbo standards) it would make the car cammy where as if you went the mild cam route more boost it would be a better option for speed events and especially point and squirt hillclimbs.

Fast Carl KAD 1s probably their first idea for a road cam which was probably too mild to work and is NLA?.

No seriously, this is no ordinary morris minor. There is a guy with a tarmac rally Darrian T9 and that beats everything up the track, matey's Morris did it in about 3/4 of the time. I've been to Prescott and think he's been there a few times. My favourite is the V12 XJS (full race) The guy got bored of minis, scorts, single seaters and decided to race a barge. I have never seen anything put down so much rubber. You will know it if you've seen it.

Matey's morris minor was without doubt one of the most impressive cars I've ever seen. (at any hillclimb or sprint)

Bugger off, I'm getting there.

seen the jag , theres couple mad E-type as well . have also seen the moggy it used to be na fiat engine [ I had a buisness doing moggies in '90's so keep an eye out for them . Your right it is seriously impressive , but to be competative in national hillclimbs in sports libra your up against megabusa spots racing cars in the smaller classes and 4L V10 Judd engined sports racing cars in the larger capacities !!!!!!!!
