personally i'd be looking at a 6k rev limit and choose a cam to suit that. As wil has suggested several times, revving the engines is not necessary for big power. 1100 engines are probably the least reliable a-series engine just due to the possible crank problems, i would hazard a guess. I'd hazard a guess as well, and that is that the 803cc A-series was/is less reliable. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

I ran a centre main strapped 1098 engine (bored +60) for a good while in my youth, couldn't afford a 1275 at the time.
