LOL

I once repainted a whole car (MGC california) for a blemish on the underfloor. All my mates thought I'd had too much fumes from the paint but it was worth in .... best paint at the following Classic and sports car show at NEC ... back in the days of celly

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

It was two days after the respray when I fitted the windows, where the lube ran down the rear quarters it made the paint go almost see through!! It not very obviouse but I know its there.

Another thing Ive noticed with cellulose, it seem you have to put alot more effort in the get marks off the paint.

Tempted to T cut, or G3 it to see if I can get some sparkle back into it.

Im a sure beleiver that the finish is all to do with the standard of the prep (within reason), as my mini was my first prep job and I didn't realise how much imperfections show through. I think I know enough to do a real nice job of it this time round!

A decent buffer is worth it's weight in gold.

I have done a few myself, but ts a love/hate relationship, Its a hell of a lot of work but if you use the cash to buy good quality paints, epoxy, two pack and proper masks etc. it wont blister through. Like was said before if its not great you can always rub it back and shoot it again. I'd say my jobs are better than 80-90% of the "professional" jobs I see, but be warned you will get to know every liitle blemish on the car and it drives you crazy... Other people cant understand what you are on about.

completely agree! i reckon my effort is better than most professional jobs, just takes a bit of practice.
