I took advantage of the good weather by running around with the roof of the lotus all weekend....

Unfortunately my plan back fired when some dust went into my eye when going to my mates and diverting through the centre of town on fri night.
I pulled in on the side of the road with my eye watering and fiddled around trying to get the dust out. I couldnt get it out, and i couldnt see to drive

Three (what looked like) hotties were wondering by, and i was going to try my luck for some assistance-then i remembered i was tucking into the pickled onions earlier on and that i stank....

Extra should always be in your glovebox nic, as well as your comb and sun glasses.
Just in case.

Well bit of an update, After 22 weeks I finally passed my RYA Day Skipper theory tonight, well chuffed!

Cant wait for the summer now, hoping to get back out shortly after easter, counting the days...

ive not done any diving in years, but the plan is to piss off to oz/nz next january for a year taking people out diving.

over the last year ive got my vhf licence, and marine first aid, and day skipper (hurrah)

just need to get the advanced powerboat and sea survival course sorted this summer, then save a few quid to go away with

would like to dive Sugarloaf Caves we have caves at rathlin but there @50mtrs or so abit deep. Some of the club member are trying to organize a trip across to the man to dive with baskin sharks. should be a bit of crack

i would have thought the weightless ness in the water might help, but lugging the kit around on ground would be a bit of a pain in the ass

tbh i could do with doing a refresher course, forgotten most of it now, did my open & advanced open water + cavern diving with padi years back, but with uni and minis, ive been too broke since...

ive been in the pool and that was ok wait for warm weather.Im the same between diving having two boats which one really needs 5k spent on a engine and then theres the mini.

Yip its a 3mtr avon searider with a 40 mariner got it for £ 50 man was just looking rid of it cause he had bought a new one. Goes well 40mph+ if you can hold on lol

bit of an update

the engine blew up last month, and would cost more to fix than its worth, decided to pimp her up a bit lol

got her a recond 20hp mariner, with steering controls and remotes (so got to build a dash for her now too), and in the process of giving her a fresh paint job, new windows and rubbers etc

been held up these last couple of weeks with a bad back, and terrible weather, but fingers cross shell be back in action int he next 2 weeks

Theres been know weather at all for boating its crap.
Bit up an update on my boat broke out an got myself an engine a 190hp v6 volvo penta.So that should make it go.

been slowly getting bits done on the dream, given her a complete rub down last august, and a fresh coat of paint, cant get over how expensive that topcoat stuff is!!

anyway, all thats left on the outside/underside is the make a hatch for where the front window used to be, and to repaint the antifoul

im stuck at the minute as i need 2' x 2' of marine ply to mount the steering wheel on, but the local suppliers only sell it in 6'x9' sheets at £90, and im too tight to shell out...

but as soon as i get round that hurdle ill be hitting the waves again! olé!
