I like nice quiet girly Minis

Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

Looks like this has been covered whilst I have been away ... LOL

Personally if overspraying another finish I will always use BarCoat. It is the most effetive blocker I have come across and when using it I have never had a bad reaction!! Not too expensive either.

One thing that that article doesn't really state very well is the fact that you should try to keep some are movement over the panels. If you think about the curing process is basically evaporative and as such you need to make sure that the atmosphere around the job doesn't get so saturated it can absord no more. With solvents that isn't much of a problem but with waterbourne it can be.

You can buy the "blowers" quite cheaply, about £50 for a single or £125 for a pair on a stand. Trust me a much better result on larger surfaces (say a roof panel) can be had using these.

There are several paint manufactures who know that a reasonable percentage of their sales goes to people without an all singing, all dancing facility so also realise that they are basically throwing business awy if they don't cover these applications.

Anglo Dutch is just one company I have spoken with who are doing some special product designed with this in mind.

A lot of the paint wholesalers I have spoken to are saying that many of their customers will stop painting once the ban comes into full force. The paint manufactures won't want to see this happen as it'll mean a big whole in their profits, not just from DIYers but also from the smaller firms and "specialists". This is a larger market than most appreciate.

It's no theend of the world at all. I have sprayed up an old Scirocco bonnet and a Mini wing (the flat and the curvy ...lol). I was happy in both finishes and I did them in my usual lack of a facility with nothing more specialised than I normally used (other than a smaller fluid tip .... 1.3mm rather than 1.5mm) and a basic hair drier.......

Don't worry folks .... then end of the world will have to wait!!!!

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

I thought about this earlier, What is the final date to purchase cellulose? Does anyone actually know? I am considering stocking up while I still can.

Not very sunny swanage

i wouldnt worry too much, there are still going to be loopholes big enough to walk through, even if they do ever get around to banning the sale of it commercially....

And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers!
