Hi there matey, the bonnets very close! I have lifted the bonnet up at the back to give a 15mm airgap originally to help the exhaust heat escape in the hot weather, but this has also given a little extra clearance between the intercooler pipes and the bonnet. A firbeglass bonnet could be a good idea thinking about it now you have mentioned it!

Well gents a little update here. After solving an annoying misfire, which turned out to be an incorrectly set float height in the carb (there are two types of float, with two types of measurements by the way!) Now wound up the boost to 10 psi and the BHP now raised to 115 BHP at the wheels.Infact the mini pushed itself off the rollers at full chat during the first run. Just need to replace the Stock RC40 exhaust, and get a nice 2inch play mini system on there!

The boost gause has been recallibrated, along with fitment of an in car fuel pressure gauge to get the propotion set. Also fitted some NGK B7ECS plugs, as recommended by the tuner for turbo motors.
A stronger dashpot springs been fitted (at the moment its two springs coiled together - works a treat)
Vac advance on std turbo dizzy pushed the timing upto 41 degrees BTDC! so now its disconnected just running the mechanical part of the dizzy set between 9 - 24 degrees max.

heres the short RR vid
