they used to.....

its now up to the garage, some are ok and let you have the 2 weeks, but i have heard of garages charging people that have taken their car back next day after replacing a lamp.

just depends if they are bastards or not!

For a normal "minor" problem they still do, unless they consider your breaking some other law / regulation. As for noisey exhausts they can do you on noise pollution in the same way as if you had a loud party (they would come and sieze the stereo).

The reason they took my mates scooby away is that they considered it "dangerous" as the tint was so dark he couldn't possibly see through it properly at night .......... prats.

It doesn't help where I live ...... how many of you know the origin of the term Chav???????

CHeltenham-AVerage ... :(

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

Mini13 I think your getting mixed up with MOT retests, now there is a very strict inflexible set of time scales ... all down to the computer not the guy now ..

Possibly, but ...

The last one i had in Nov the retest date was printed onto the sheet by the garage, they used to be a part of the aatual sheet, what stops garagers printing on whatever they like?

I am sure it's all done back at VOSA like the rest of the features on the new sheet, garage can not influence it.

Of course the real way to have a truly unique exhaust is to stick a kazoo up it *tongue* Or possibly an entire brass band rigged to play a selection of 80's hits. Now that's a project for the future *wink*

There is no sense crying over every mistake- you just keep on trying til you run out of cake.

Having Meat Loaf singing 'bat out of hell' near your exhaust may get you a ban instead!!!!!!!!!!!!

Depending on what turbo you're using you probably best using the stock Metty Turbo Manifold and getting it flowed / ported.

Mirage sell one which allows the fitment of a T2 turbo without the need for a bulkhead box.

I have a 2" Playmini side exit system. I cut the rolled end off because i didnt like it. Other than the 2.5" tail pipe its propper plain looking.

Bit noisey being a 2" single box for a 1400 normaly aspirated so I fitted a Jetex mid section can. Sports cat to be fitted before next MOT. Some like it noisey, I preffer it real quiet *tongue*
