London.

My Girlfriend has a Lateral Thigh Trainer.
So as ive been trying to lose the pound's, she said give it a try.
Thinking to my self, whats that gona do, piss easy.
So she bet i couldn't do the work video.*wink*
So on i get's, after warming up of course.
(It's 20 minute workout by the way)
Started of ok, then after 5 minute's, i thought F**k this is hard lol
Being a man, i couldn't let her now i was suffering.
Anyway, when it was over, i was out for the count.
The next day i was sooo stiff.
So a hot bath was in order.
Well that showed me i was so unfit.
So now, i do the work out everyother day, and in between that,
I ride my bike for 30 min's to hour, depending on where im going.
So cutting out the junk food, and exercising. really makes me feel alot better.
More energy, and my mind's alot more focused.
But the only 1 thing it dont help me with, is spelling lol

Depends if you get caught in the bushes with your binoculars before the 15 mins is up i guess. *tongue*

- Sorry, i know this was supposed to be a serious thread. When i was in to fitness and weight training (those days are LONG gone now) i wanted to reduce fat mass. I found it made tons of difference eating big breakfast (porridge and toast) having a decent lunch with lots of carbs (brown pasta etc) then having a small high protein dinner after training (fish, chicken etc.)

Worked really well, but then i stopped going to the gym. Gained a little fat and lot of the muscle definition i had. I now look like the skinny little bastard i always was.

I deffinately think starting off the day eating big and then tapering off is the way to go. I do the exact opposite, I don't eat brakefast at all, eat an OK lunch then go to town after 6pm. I just don't have time in the mornings for eating! Must do my 30 mins exercise tonight for sure.

Something like 11/12 stone... but I am a short arse. Knew it was time to change when I went over bumps in the road and felt me belly wobbling- a bit disconcerting!
At the moment I'm really inactive, going to college for most of the week where I sit around on me arse (or hanging practically upside down with me hands inside an aircraft trying to rig a rudder system, as today), then I work (where I am now) and... well... sit on me arse watching films or on here.
Only activity I really have time for is the weekends when I work on the mini or do medieval reenactments (which is also a bastard- you spend all year training, building up muscles to wear the armour and fight for hours on end, then you get to winter and it all stops, the muscle turns to flab and you get worn out even looking at your armour). Anyways, I digress- my plan for the moment is to try to cut out the crap I eat, and hopefully train a bit more for the coming campaigning season. We're going to italy again this year, and this time there are going to be french there, so I must be fit or they'll all be gone by the time I make their line!

There is no sense crying over every mistake- you just keep on trying til you run out of cake.

I also made that mistake, within a couple of weeks of moving to London from Boulder, I went from super human fit to well below average.

Being the lightest member of TM, I think it's only fair to share my secrets.

1) All my cars are weekend toys, my day to day transport is a single-speed mountain bike. This also has the advantage that I don't have Sunday night panics trying to fix a car so I can get to work on Monday.

2) I don't eat fast food, with the exception of burgers at car shows (I got through eight at Combe last year).

3) I normally do a few hours moderate exercise a couple of evening a week, I don't do anything silly and rarely break a sweat. That said I was out in Chamonix boarding earlier this year and seriously pushed myself every day and I could actually visibly notice weight loss from one day to the next.

4) I try and eat a variety of food, except processed crap and gimmicky weight loss junk. Fresh food & a good balance is essential.

5) I am good friends with a rather hot weight loss coach (Nic, before you ask you can not have her number)

6) I've also given up alcohol, it's made no difference to my weight but do feel better for it and my general fitness has improved.

Feel free to rubbish what I have said but bear in mind that I only weigh 9 stone so it does work. Note I've never actively tried to loss weigh, I've always used the theory that as long as I'm fit enough to do what I want to do then I'm happy.

Also if anyone is really serious about weight saving for Avon I'll happily drive your car down the track.
