I've wandered about using MJ to provide the rpm & vacuum data, as it streams them over RS232, coupled with the AFR data from the AEM gauge it should be possible to log trends such as "around 3k it's a bit lean" obviously the timing won't be in sync so it would be no good for fine tuning EFI, but I would have thought it would be good enough to spot trends. Sadly it's been too long since I last wrote any software to try it myself but what do people reckon to the idea? Isambard Kingdom Brunel said:

An advantage of the emerald is you can link in the AEM gauge and use the onboard data logger to do just that. it logs up to 8 parameters i think for about 2hours of data which can then be saved off and viewed. it can also be viewed live as a trace to see when the boost is coming in how the AFR is affected etc. |

You can do the same with Megatune on the MS.

Axel the thing to do here is be VERY nice to a friend with one of the gauges and ask to borrow it ...... saves you a couple of quid and you can return the favour when they need to do it.

Acksherley, I've thought of a few instances where I will need one in the future, like when we fit the 295 and stage one kit to Axels 30. So that will soften the blow a bit. Plus I hate borrowing because I usually bust something. On 29th of May, 2007 at 08:32pm RogerM said:
Not 100% sure but you should be able to datalog both channels across MS2 with a little fiddling .... need a V3 board in front of me to check this as I only have a V2.2 with MS1 SnSe so can't eb sure. I think you're right, but it will involve soldering in miniture and I don't fancy it. I might have a word with Bill S. Is that a subtle hint that you want to borrow my gauge to help develop the 5 port code. Isambard Kingdom Brunel said:
