Ok due to the guy who bought it dropping out this engine is up for sale again! As before, its still in the car luckily so you can see it running.
I took it to the Retro-Rides 2007 show at Mallory Park a few weeks back and it came second in its class (sub1400cc) behind a mini with a Suzuki 1300 (and a full race motorbike powered Imp but i'm not counting that!). Very respectable lap times, beat a modified Metro turbo, MGB's, an MR2 etc etc.
I'm in Hampshire but often go to Oxford so can arrange to meet anywhere in between or at a push somewhere else. Any questions happily answered and if you want pics thats no problem, although it looks like most other A Series engines!

It is and the gearbox's have to remain standard for class A (with the exception of a central oil pickup, which it has), so its MG Metro gearset with 3.4 diff.
Roughly i'd have to say probably an extra 10-15 ontop of standard, thats just an educated guess, which would bring the total up to around 85ish.

The engine now comes with two turbo clutch's/flywheels, one's untested and the other was slipping a little on my modified 1380 turbo but would probably be ok on this.

The working clutch has an Avonbar lightened flywheel

Ok after plenty of people assuring me they 'need' this engine 'as soon as possible' and going through the motions with a number of them its up for sale again!

Cheaper now at only £399 ONO, details all still as above.

If nobody takes it soon its going on ebay as reluctant as i am to do that, i need to put the turbo engine in :)

Nope afraid not, as mentioned above the gearbox must remain std to meet the regs, only modification allowed is a central oil pickup.
Location Updated!

Sorry just re-read that!
At the very least a real solid cross pin but ideally LSD with money either way depending.

EMT may be interested he needs a block to run 1293 so this may be too big for him, i am yet to check my garage for him.
