It will be a TC 8V set up like 8 8 8 8 rather than oo oo oo oo. You will have a spark each side of the valves so that you get 2 start points for combustion and the total burn distance required reduced (not by 1/2) I imagine it as bloody great big valves. Interesting how they have mounted the intakes above the cam so that the mixture gets a proper down shot into the cylinder. I wonder if they use flat backed valves. I would say that the twin spark idea was thought out when they realised that there would be potential burn issues with using a cackhanded chamber with one plug, you'd get a dead spot.

Anyway, it is one of the most beautiful things I've seen and the car is nice and ratty as well.

According to Vizard, oldfield did the 1st 16v head. There was a "Jomo" head, whatever the hell that was, which was different to the Howley SOHC (Which our man still has the patterns for in one of his containers, as well as weslakes semi downdraft jobby).

Love it, Stu

Bugger off, I'm getting there.

Jomo was the first attempt at an 8 port for the 80s/90s by the original Jonspeed before it was sold
