i always used to use the cheapest halfords 20w50 but thats cause my old engine used to burn through litres of the stuff all the time and i cant afford shed loads of expensive oil
i now use 15w40 i think but its only halfords stuff
i need to start buying decent oil!!!
some reccomedations would be good
especially as i want my turbo to last when i get it all built and fitted

b12, mine used to pour out on start up then settle down, also if you lifted off on the motorway and then accelerated again, it poured out.
that engine was totally shagged though

B12, have you got an in car fuel pressure gauge? if so, which one, if not, how are you checking it?

Cheers

Ross.

I got an in car guague ...
only to test what is going on ....
it is certainly not safe

it fits together using a boost gaugue kit !!! no clips holding anything in place , all push fit

NICE ....

NOT ....

So I will be removing it

Still it was worth doing becassue my fuel pressure was well out - It is actually quite amazing how much you need to unscrew the screw (!) to reduce the pressure by even the smallest of amounts .. I must have unscrewed the screw(!) by about 8mm !!

I will find out the make if you like ; and let you know

Probably not alot... except if one leaks its a little air, and the other is a little fuel :S
