Wait till it has been settled one way or another, if it goes in your favour then it sorted and no problem, if it doesn't go in your favour and an appeal doesn't sort it THEN go round and give him a shoeing.

Best not to phone him at all, let insurance sort it. Thats why we pay them m8. Still a royal pain in the harris though!

the thing is i was around that way (no idea were but im sure i could find it) and saw the whole thing, didnt stop at the time but saw your sign at the side of the road when i passed it a couple of days later.

I had someone nearly take me out today. The mot guy was giving me a lift home and indicated to turn right into a junction, one of those ladder type widened ones to allow you to move to the right without hindering traffic, when matie decided to overtake when the driver was clearly signalling to turn right.

I was fuming, if he had hit me I would have killed him. I was furious, luckily if he had it would only have been the metro but still I recon we'd have got wiplash.

just had the insurance guy out, we went round in fucking circles first of all he tried to say its a caravan chassis, then he said that the rust on the broken brake parts are more than 3 months old so must have been broken before the accident, he said "its only a second hand trailer so would only give you a bit to fix it yourself", lost my rag told him he can fuck right off and ill see them in court if i dont get enough to replace it like for like

Insurance companies will try absolutely everything to stop paying out.

been on to solicitors this afternoon, there charging for trailer hire for my fuel and £10 per day per weekend for the last 20 weeks i have not been able to use it

Can you bill them for your time spent pursueing this matter, at say £100 per hour ?

as stated before i thing the term "engineer" is used to loosly

this "engineer" said it was not a pro built trailer clearly it is this "engineer" also said that if the indespention unit needs realighnment then make the holes elongated (sp) rather than doing the job properly and making a new plate and putting it on for the indespension unit to bolt to

The term "Engineer" is used for everything nowadays! I work in the car racing industry and am a technican but do not class myself as an engineer.

Elongating holes is bodgery ?sp not a solution!

i have a "specialist" solicitor dealing as my insurance covers me, he does seem to have no get up and go though

My solicitor took direct line to court, when i spoke to him friday he said the deadline for them presenting there case was up and that as long as there was no circumstances that stopped them presenting there case then it would go my way by default, it was up before the beak or whatever it is today but have not been able to get hold of my solicitor to find out the outcome, odd thing is it went to court today for twice as much as i originally asked for + solicitor fees, no wonder the insurance game is up shit street

I think this just illustates the sad state the insurance industry is in, tit for tat all resulting in increased premiums for everyone. Ridiculous.

well as you know we took direct line to court, good news is the judgment went my way, they now have 14 days to either cough up or appeal after that i send the baliffs to the 3rd partys house and direct line will have to by law cover that

result, so far, i will make a note to not use "direct line" in future.
