OK,

Basically on most Bosch inline pumps your ok, a lot of the rotary pumps too.

The LUCAS / CAV / Delphi pumps are a total no-no.

Some of the Japanese pumps will not tolerate it either.

Jimster if you find the engine id number for me I might be able to tell you the pump spec and if it's compatable or not.

Very few modern diesel units use pre-heaters for the fuel as modern fuel doesn't need it, in fact keeping the fuel temperature down to help avoid cavitation errosion is a real problem!!!!!!

May I suggets that people running their cars on veg oil without paying the tax stay quiet .... on an open forum like this the chances of somebody finding out that you'd rather not is very high!!! I'm sure nobody want's to get done for tax dodging!!

If you have any Diesel question fire them at me .....

my job title is Senior Development Engineer, Heavy Duty Diesel Business Unit.

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

where do people 'generally' get their oil from. This winter I'm going to drop a corsa 1.5 tdi engine in and see how it goes.
PS Roger, any info on compatbility of this engine, its actually the little isuzu unit ?

Just seen this .........The tax break has been reconfirmed by HMRC in a recent late 2006 review.[6] HM Revenue & Customs has announced changes regarding the administration and collection of excise duty of biofuels and other fuel subtitutes (Veg Oil). The changes which come into effect on June 30, 2007 mean that there is no need to register (enter premises) or pay duty on veg oil used as road fuel if you use less than 2500 litres per year.[7]
