i was going to suggest what matty has already said, about a weak spark caused by a low voltage from a shite battery

right, done a full oil change. oil level now back in check... changed filter ect ect...

yes, it sounds like it needs changing anyway, so change it and see "Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun"

go to auto silencers in Tynemouth, they will sort you one. Make sure the terminals are the right way (so you can use the battery strap !!!!)

Sounds like you have found a short term fix. Long term either the battery, alternator or wiring is knackered. Expect the problem to come back soon as the battery starts to lose that charge! |

well i donna think my alternator is a happy chappy at the mo... when cleaning the wires up yesterday with a wire brush, i shorted it out with the radiator. bit of a firework show me thought. |

yeah when playing with the wires, disconect the battery.... !
