So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

IMO a 1380 will spool the turbo up quicker and give you more power/torque per Ib of boost. Ive run upto 18 psi on the rollers and use 16psi on the road with no problems and bk450 head gasket.
A 1293 will leave you with quite a few rebores before the block is scrap, slightly better on fuel perhaps ( not that it should be a concern) easier to obtain lower CR, cheaper machining and pistons.

one thing to consider, is the fact that 0.5mm is near as damit 15 thou,

this also happens to be the amount that vizard recomends to offset bore the block when going to 1400 or more.

I have heard of people having issues with the BK450 on 1380's, some times due to running no deck height and having the piston touch the gasket and cause it to fail.

In case I can't find it please remind us if the Comtec gasket requires the engine to be dry decked or not?!??!

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...
