good shout,

Like a tw@t I just took the person who was using the lathe before me's word on what the speed was...

it was just burning the the tools out

I checked it and then reduced it from 800 down to 150, much better now, got 1 disc done, bout half way through the 2nd.

Sorry to be stupied, Whats the idea with putting ford calipers on? do they fit under 10" wheels with turned down discs???? If so why does any one buy expencive minisport calipers????

because the ford caliper is not a very nice design. its a sliding caliper.

Do a search "fiesta". It's all detailed.

Apparently a good conversion but the purists (Norwegians) dont like it!

I'm sure you already know this, but try if possible toget the Mk2 fiesta setup, they have slider bolts which are much less prone to sticking than the earlier mk1 setup with wedges like on old fiats.
