posibly pulling the shaft to far out the pot joint, as i could imagine the outer part of the joint being weaker than the inner.

For those who went to the dyno day in Lincoln Mike Barratt has modified pot joints in the past to use a three lobe CV from 4 wheel drive dumper trucks before. Try and break one of those !!

In terms of the Leyland parts bin you could try Maxi/Allegro pot joints, splines are the same but joints are physically bigger in size, or for full effect the joints from Metro 6R4 can be made to fit..........

edited to add : I run the equal length shafts on my n/a 1380 and it made a difference. A lot less torque-steer, and able to put power down without spinning up the unloaded wheel.

Edited by Phil1380 on 28th Jun, 2004.

Hold on lads, I ve got an idea............

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

I forgot to mention Mike's driveshafts, someone told me about them the other day! Sound a good upgrade.

Good to know that Phil, because i spent 200 pounds in an equal lenght kit - I want to know if there is a difference. A lot of different opinons on that topic, so I decided to try it. (but did not mount it yet)
