I had a set of 7" splits, ran tubes in case of leaks as that was the way to go. Ran 032's and it made the sidewalls lovely and stiff. It went around corners like it was on rails but anything a tad uneven and it grabbed the steering, made it a nightmare on the road. What I look for in a set of wheels is maximum inset. I run 5" compomotives with no arches. Best of both worlds. I'd rather have less tyre roll but I like my steering. When I go for a plate diff, this will be the wise choice. I'd have to run 145's if I went to 4.5", the roll gets to much then. I'd rather have a nice flat breakaway on 145's than rollyness with 165's. When I had my 1380 with the full on engine, I ran cross plies which was entertaining. Proper old fashioned 4 wheel drifts. Great stuff. Bugger off, I'm getting there. |

my friends dad has an Austin 1100 with cross ply tyres, funny as hell when he put in sideways at 20mph at a turning i could take at 30 to 40mph. |

POS offset is wrong - you want zero these look to be 4 outside and 3 inside the wrong way IMHO seing as thats waht bill says Nick, it wasn't hard to work out, NB, barnbys current 7" miglia spec wheel already has 14mm possitive offset,. carl |

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem. |
