Friction has no measurement, correct. But don't forget the Force-Pressure-Area relationship......... :)

Its not that hard to grasp, Pressure=Force/Area, place a fat bird in stillettos and the heel will pierce concrete, put her in a pair of pumps and she should be able to walk on sand without sinking.....

Would the clutch re-manufacturer have the scintered friction material? Agree totally with you Tom. Regards Dave The place local to me isnt that good, and they usually have paddles of different shapes in stock. So I'd like to think other places who re-con clutches would have too. 9.85 @ 145mph

Friction does have a 'measurement' - a measurement is a value afterall. IT is however, dimensionless - ie it has no units.

Actually, Friction is a coefficient. Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."

There's never enough friction. Maybe the "pad" is thin? Edited by Vegard on 23rd Oct, 2007. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:
Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem. |
