i have to go quickly si dident have time to finish reading this thread but a few points i wanted to add.

my old turbo diesel nova running over 15psi with no intercooler, defianatly went much much quicker when it was cold..

also when working with my dad he used something to spray on a water pipe (the ones in houses) that freeze the water to stop it there so you can service the system i was wondering if it would be a feasable idea to spray the intercooler with this stuff, when you use it on a pipe, within about 15 minutes there is frost around it... it would surley last for a run down the strip... might be implications i cant see tho?

i'v seen people spray there intercoolers with a C02 fire extinguisher jstu before they stage to help with heat soak :)
