btw, if any of you shoot alot, get one of these

http://www.brierleyguns.com/danser-recoil.php

i did 100 rounds last sunday (usually do just 2 or 3 boxes) and didnt feel a thing, my old man can barely fire a gun now as his shoulder is messed up from years of shooting .303 and boom sticks, half the reason i paid over the top is because it came with this, great bit of kit

lol,

my old man is big into his wildfowling,

his favorite gun is a russian Baikal that he bought new about 35 years ago for 28 quid, the use this gun has seen is ridiculous... as an example he got hold of just shy of a ton of lead shot in the mid 70's most of it went through this gun, he has also lost it in a river for 2 days, the damn thing still looks in good nick!

the old cunt loves it more than his kids LOL

yeah, those rusky lumps are hardcore, they go for nothing second hand, but are pretty indestructable by all accounts, but they weigh a ton!

it is pretty heavy, looks like shit too, lol I just remembered why he bought it...

He bought a webley 700 (as he really wanted one) for quite a lot, and couldnt hit a barn door with it, after much aggro he checked the shot pattern on it , which was dougnut shaped, he was so disheartened he took the 700 to a shop to flog it, as he needed a gun that weekend he asked what the cheapest thing they had was... the rest is history lol.

i also remember him raving about somthing spanish, Aya's?

Great choice of hardwhare that. Mk70 Mk38( B525 ) Miroku a good solid weapon. Grade 1,3,5..?

Is it one of the latest with back bored barrels..?

100 rounds whats wrong with you get 500 down the thing and you'll soon see if the fits right.

I've just started traveling to Poland for hunting and now having to up my rifle spec to .30-06 Springfield. Them Pigs are BIG over there.

Pig killer!

Ha, its a grade 3, but to be honest, he had a grade 1 & 2 sat next to it, and Ill be fooked if i noticed the diffence (although the wood on mine is much nicer)

a friend of the family owns an estate up in scotland, and keeps inviting me to go stag bagging, but in all honesty, the idea of snea\king up downwid all day covert styee is really appealing, but I dont think id really feel happy shooting the bugger unless I knew non would be wasted.

It’s nice to have a choice of wood. I've seen grade 3's with much better pattern wood than 5's. IMO.

Get yourself out there in the wilds of Scotland. You don't have to pull the trigger to enjoy the hunt. But a freezer full of venison is a great reward for both the animal and the hunter.

There’s some great shooting on IoM. I’ve done a bit of hare shooting on the mountain which was great fun. Do they still give you cartridges for crows and the like..?
