surely if enough people went to trading standards they would have to take action.
I bought an engine in 2000 from MED crap then and it sounds like they are still providing a crap service

First mini turbo to get in the 12's & site perv

Herefordshire

Im so glad I got my engine from VMAX

VMAX havent given me any of these sort of issues

Admittedly it was a couple of weeks later than planned, but not excessively.
I only had to pay a deposit until the engine was ready, and I wasnt told rubbish along the way

Fortunately im not well enough known for people to claim to have done my work, but for future reference ill just let everyone know once again that VMAX did my head, built my engine, and gearbox (until i rebuilt the gearbox that is)

(shameless plug over)

Jimsters cylinder head was done by some BMW engineers in Germany, and then worked upon further by a little welshman with a Tig torch. Beat that.

The DON was cobbled together in a garage in Rotherham by a brummie and a yorkshireman, using wherever possible carpentry tools and cable ties, LOL

I have delt with MED three times, and of those three times I was more than happy with the resluts, whether it was goods or information and willingness to help

Not much but I would use them again

I'm more with un-named back street machine shops that have been on the face of earth since the dawn of time. Personal opinion of course. I've never used Morespeed etc. So I won't comment. MED & Avonbar have been helpful for advice, but again....never used them for machine work. Have my own non mini sources...and sticking to them.

I am more with milamber. I have always used the old guys who have a hammer and chisle to do the machining, they always have a hugh amount of knowledge, they will always be honest and tell if you need this or that. The chap i use used to have something to do with Aldon, now he has coldest unit ever. He does loads of work on old old engines which is good for me as these need time and paitents. I'm not into all these named companies as some are more like a production line without a quality control imo obviously

Nothing. I always cut them just under the head, so i can pull the old bit out, and have a nice new (bur somewhat shorter) cable tie than before...
