Iain , If you send them to ghd they will fix them for free, you can even put the recept in the bag and they will refund you that aswell. Like sprocket says it might not just be the fuze.

After a bit of research it appears that the fuse deteriates (sp?!) over time hence it going so its fine to replace. it the fuse is very close to the operating temperature apparently.
