Ok, I'll make this a little clearer.

It might look like an escort S2 unit, but the one intercooler i can guarantee it is NOT, is an escort S2 RST unit.

S2 intercooler pipes are 50mm, the ones in this are 40mm.

So, which does this look more like?

definately not an S2. thats clear from your pics above TurboDave but looking closely at the astra unit its has its differences.

It has different mountings and the 45 degree end tank is different also.

i think, however, we can all safely say its closest match is an Astra 1.7TD unit so that what it can be from now on *happy*
