i have a na mg cam for my 998 but im tempted to try a kent 567 that i found in an old engine i was given, its kents version of the old 997 cam which is very close to the sw5.

thereis a thread in the 998 section simple called 998 started by clubminiflip

in this thread (along with others) an ex member who no longer contributes to TM who i wont mention for fear of legal repercussions (LOL) used to rave about the performance of the kent 274i in his small bore 'builds'

unfortunately none of his findings were ever backed up with evidence, so none of his findings can be treated as fact, which is a shame as he seemed to be full of 'out there' & 'cutting edge' ideas/solutions

has anyone ever tried swinging the cam slightly to see if has any positive effects? not just on 998s, i mean for any turbo..

Allright. Have you tried 108? The Parisien expert suggested this. I need low down torque, don't care about max hp.

Never tried 108, 110 worked and I never have enough time/money to try altering on an RR session.

I just did mine at 108. If it streches 2degrees, I'll be home free *wink*

Wouldn't it be the other way? You need to advance a cam to get grunt in a "little" engine. Mine is 1115 I think so it will rip the tarmac apart 8)
