I can vouch for the 172/182 clio. Blisteringly quick, 38mpg combined and the most important thing is it's not a Type R. On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:

I know, light weight is the best form of performance. I was always tempted with an Elise. I have no friends so a 2 seater would suit me fine! But as a daily drive the Clio is fantastic. On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:

Evening all. Possibly against my better judgement i've just bought a 205 1.6 gti. It's a late j plate in black with tons of history. Paint is a little ratty though. Need to get a haynes for it now as i've no doubt shitloads of probs are going to start coming out the woodwork! |

Don't worry tom, i have a steadily building list of questions! So far the only issues are a slightly high and erratic idle and a leaky sunroof. Started checking online to see what i need to do to start sorting it out.
