hmmm tough one. lol get a ride in somebodys turbo mini(if theres any one the road at the moment, lol)

think of all the shows or runs you wanna do (surely you dont wanna be a passenger)

and defo make a list and work your way thro it, but be aware you will add more stuff to the list.

how about buying a gazebo with sides itl help keep the wind off you.

you really havent got much left to do alex, stick at it.

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

I was wearing long johns, two pairs of jeans, two t-shirts, a jumper and a jacket last night.

It felt like I could have been on a building site in Spain!

Get someone round to give you a hand, with a few beers. That will get you motivated, plus It wont take half as long.

a LIL fishing village on the coast - Newcastle Upon Tyne

dod what i do and just half finnish everything so it looks almost done psml i get very little time on mine, so busy with the kids, and i get guilty as there is so much to be done with the house, kitchen and hall need doing and there is a fekkin huge hole in the back of me house which has waited to be bricked up for two years. still i bought a haogen heater tuther day for me gazzy £5.00 that motivates me a goodun. also memories of the BENROSS mystery machine keeps me focussed, i also used to use Jimsters lap of Comb which has gone now (just for the sound as the camera work was wanktastic)

PS BENROSS mini mansion aka garage is motivation those pollished marble floors and so many shiny tools i wish i lived closer to Pontefract :) 2:15 min drive but its always worth it !!!

Like the rest say plenty of layers and get stuck in! You could blitz that list in a day, As benross says plenty of tea usually helps! Me and a mate repainted my min at the weekend we had it well hot in the workshop, we were down to t shirts!

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

i struggle for motivation as although i have a garage, its only a single and not much good other than for storing the mini in. also moved all my tools/workbench/spares out as i was supposed to be moving last year.

just looking forward to selling the house again, moving and setting up in the double garage. cant see much getting done before then.

How do you guys get motivated to go out in the cold and work on the little cars?

I just find that I can't be bothered these days - I wake up at the weekend, look outside, see the frost on the car, and suddenly all my motivation vanishes.

I don#t actually have that much left to do on the car, but am finding it very hard to get into it.

So, any ideas?

to hear the sound of the car again is enough to motivate me, but i cant do it when its dark i have no motivation then i dont mind if its raining or cold so long as its light :)

Well I have just been out there for a few hours. Raining, cold, in a single garage with not much room, but I know I have to do it now and get it finished before other commitments start in the spring.

I managed to get my downpipe finished tonight, injection pump fitted into SPI tank, and oil filler fitted. And a couple of pints in!

Thinking of the celebratory pint is good motivation! *tongue*

Well, I feel a bit more into it now - AlexF gave me a new gear linkage setup earlier, which was holding back the exhaust fitting too. So that's two jobs I can tackle this weekend.

Finally felt up to doing some tinkering last night, took a pot noodle, tea bags, some rich tea bics and an adam freeland mix, ended up staying till 4am!

got so much done, would have stayed longer too, but lifting the shell over the engine is easier with 2
