merlin sell them, called accusump, they fill up when under pressure (when engine is running) and hold it, so you can prime the system before cranking.

great bits of kit

its not a problem really, just make another loop off somewhere else, for instance the oil cooler i could put it on the return to the engine.

the problem is that obviously the oil pump turns with the cam, so if the engine is not turning it means that no oil can be pushed around in the engine, well probably enough to oil up three main bearings and as a result the crank.

so what i purpose to do is do is pump from one of the main oil galleries on either side of them. so by cylinder one and cylinder four. and pump directly back into the middle of the oil gallery.

Or!

not bother and save myself alot of problems. i mean if the oil is changed regally normal 1275s can go on for 100 thousand miles without bearing failure. so im sure it will be alright.

this is going on hold for the moment, just swapped my only 998 a+ engine for a 1275 metro engine.

i have 3/4 998 a engines to play with but i don't want to play around with getting this much power from a 998 if i have to use an a crank without the filleted journal sides, if that makes sence, cant remember what its called.
