m52 was an alloy block only....

M50 was cast iron...

Least the ones I have seen are LOL

The American market M52 used a cast iron block, and so, was unaffected by this problem.


Thats the old M50 engine - just called a new name to keep the americans happy!

Like the S52 - which is an M52 with LESS power to meet emissions LOL
