This may sound daft. The side that is difficult to turn, is the wheel bearing/hub/outer CV ok? On 19th Jan, 2010 wil_h said:

I really don't understand this. When you say difficult to turn what do you mean:
Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Well 1 and 4 it will move in a straight line ok when jacked right off the foor (booth wheels) steering is fine ??? Edited by ROB1N on 5th Mar, 2008.

car not mooving and difficult to steering can't be associated with diff.

Found the problem when |I bolted the crown wheel to the diff it locked it completely. I found this out, whilst undoing the bolts in the vice it started to turn. So i tried a different crown wheel not that, checked the bolts and they were fine. It's hopefully sorted as now have replacement diff :)

new diff in and seems fine:)
