Forget filler thats too difficult, i cant do it.
Hammer your panels to the right shape then gently file off the hammer marks.
Whatever you do dont wet flat filler..... you will end up eith micro blisters in the paint as it takes fucking weeks for the filler to dry out.

Paul

I seriously doubt it!

I like the theory, but that seems to be another skill entirely.

I had thought of the paint it a light colour solution, but the logbook says brown, so brown it it.

Only takes a few minutes with a biro and a 1st class stamp to change the colour on the logbook?

Good tip about getting filler wet though Paul.

Well I got out there this afternoon and had a crack at it. I am quite pleased with the results. First I took pauls advice and got the hammer out. All the big lumps and bumps became lots of smaller lumps and bumps (think Father Ted). Then it was out with the filler. A few thin layesr later and some rough paper and the shape on one rear quarter is looking (and feeling) quite good, even if I do say so my self.

I am now more confident that I can do this to a fair standard and so enthused to go and and get on with it.
