I brought my board too early, should have got a shitty second hand one off ebay as a first board, as it is totally unforgiving and the first time I used it was as if I'd never been on a board before :( still got used to it now and really love it, but boy was it a long painful process getting there. I've heard good thinks about the Burton Customs, and tried one a few years back, seem to ride well from what I can remember. I really want to find somewhere that rents Arbour Boards, as I've been drolling over the Mystic for a few years now, but there's no way I'm spending that much on a board without trying it first. Not been to Val d'Isére myself, meant to be good mind, but in general you're looking at £150 for a weeks lift pass and about £50 - £100 for gear rental if you can go on-line and book you're lift passes and rental in advance, you normally get about 10% off, also you might be able to get a group discount, however be warned to get a group discount. val d'isere is a great resort, very popular. for your first time you will love it. in risoul which is a pretty small resort and not amazingly popular i paid around 150euro for both pass and board hire. got gold board rather than premium, but as they didnt have any boards left i basically got a better than premium for the same price |

other than cars i am really in to riding push bikes, any style really, i have 4 bikes lol! mostly riding dirt jumps and skateparks at the moment. been riding for quite a while now, and i finally feel like i am getting good at it! lol.. Awsome! What trials do you ride? The only half decent place ive heard of is rogate? Been riding on and off for ages but im proper getting into it at uni now, just built myself a 24seven slacker so riding all the time now! there are a few trails around, lymington is where that picture was taken, and some other places. rogate is cool, there are some proper dirt jumps round that area if you look for them
we ride alot at chicksands, corby etc.. all over the place basically. drop me a pm sometime if you are in the area and fancy a ride, me and my mates are usually up for a ride whenever! lots of bikers on the forum, good to see! |
