Is that the terminal at the front? If so, can the motor be indexed a full 180 degrees (terminal at back) to allow more room for intercoolers?

Dave, The terminal can be put behind yes. It is close to the block them,but just misses.

He has sold lots of these on ebay to fit imps. I will have a chat with him and see if he can sort a small batch mini ones out. It all depends on getting hold of the starters in the first place.

eurolec in brierly hill sell a starter that is VERY similar to this. Very good item! And for both types of ring gear

I bought a very similar/ identical item from minispeed.

I noteced on my minispeed one that the rubber on the wire from the solenoid to the motor and the cover are perishing despite the starter being essentially new, albeit a year or so old.

As Jim has pointed out it must be stressed tha tthese are for 107 tooth ring gears only. This was the number of teeth on pre vertos and very early vertos only.

If you currently have a pre-engaged starter these will not fit.
