Pete (pristic), slightly off topic, but I see you are using the Hypatec pistons...
Are they the ones from Minisport(Australia) ?
Reason for asking is I have a set (the 73mm ones to give 1360 from a 1275 block) and they don't have much volume in their dish (about 7.3cc) so I'm going to machine some more out and am wondering how far I dare go!
Rod.

Hi retired... yes Minisport AU pistons.
They can be machined, mine are not. If I was going to mod them, I would simply replace them with a set of Graham Russell's new pistons... but yeah, as said ^^ you can take a bit out...

Cheers,
Peter

have already built up bottom end of this engine, so may use a standard one this time instead of taking it apart and rebuilding it again.

The way I look at it, I can't really afford the lightened flywheel now, but I plan further tuning in the future. so rather then messing about, I have just bit the bullet and my machinist is balancing a new pre-verto set up, with lightened flywheel, back plate and orange diaphram, with the rotating assembly.
