It was a package holday with Thomas Cook, £300 got you flights there and back, and a weeks rent in the chalet. Was self catering and i hadnt been before so had to buy all the gear bar the board+bindings+boots (which cost £90 to rent for the week).

Another expensive thing was the lift pass - £160 for a week, which bent me over budget wise!

Official end of the season is next week i believe so you'll have to wait till it starts again before you can go.

Ive not been before but my mates have a couple of times and they said Les Arcs was an awsome resort, i was well catered for ability wise as they have so many runs that you can progress through.

Its quite a painfull learning process if you dont mind that, i twisted my knees a couple of times and stretched muscles i never new existed! Its quite an expensive holiday, but an amazing experience, you cant really go there expecting to do much else than board/ski though but we wanted to get our monies worth!

We stayed at Arc 1800m, which is at the bottom of all the lifts etc, theres resorts higher up the mountains but these are nicer so cost more, as well as not needing to get as many lifts to get to the runs.

The beer is expensive too! Im definately going again, talking about trying Canada around christmas time, I'll be getting my own board by then for sure!!
