Mines grey, just used hammerite smooth. If the engine gets a bit hot it does tend to go pink though.

As I've just finished building this part...
What about the gearbox, transfer housing, clutch cover etc...
Plain corroded aluminium?
Polished aluminium (as per Vizard, but who's got the time), or
Sprayed the same as the engine block.

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

IMHO it depends on the colour of the car, certain combinations work better that others. I'm going for something a bit different with the hillclimber, not saying what but it won't be gold metal flake or candy apple.
