Stevieturbo made a point, and after thinking about it, i would agree. What is the point of a gaskeet with no coolant passages? Its not a dry deck

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

I totally agree Carl. Otherwise no performance tweeks would ever happen. I'm inexperienced, so not sure how far to push the regs. Like to be inventive without cheating.

Discussed a few ideas with Jon. Heres a typical one........
Any Rover ‘A’ series production distributor is permitted, with the curve
modified to provide the optimum advance required. It must remain in its
original position. The vacuum advance may be disconnected or removed.
Ignition coils, spark plugs and HT leads may be of any type or manufacturer.
The coil may be relocated.
Electronic systems are permitted. Apart from simple rev-limiters and
shift lights, all electronic engine
management aids are prohibited.

Somehow, if possible running MJ. Pickup & coil packs in the dizzy itself. Doubt its possible, but have friends looking at it.

People think this is a no go.

Sorry to anyone...completely o/t

although, on a race car would mapped ignition be that much of an advantage over 2D bobweights?

I run Lumenition....but if your clever you could play with the electronics. So why not MJ? See my argument?
