BTW Issigonis had nothing at all to do with this car.The styling was done by and American,Dick Burzi, in late 40,s early 50,s.This car,s predecessor, the A30, was the first monocoque volume produced British car, in 1952 ,and was the first car to have the A series engine which we all know and love.

Is that the Frontline kit or did you make the conversion yourself? Always wandered if it would work with the Ford bell housing?

Frontline kit, modified to fit an A35(the steering arms on an A35 point backwards, not forwards as in the Midget)The mating of the A series and Type 9 is via a custom alloy bell housing, widely available. The type 9 is the easiest rear drive 5 speed to find now that almost everything is FWD.I know of one very clever person who used the Ford bellhousing with a lot of re-jigging, but it seemed too much like hard work for me (Iam allergic to that )
I wish I knew what I did to get the photos on this forum as I have lots more !.

I don't think you did, I think Mini13 did it when he saw you hadn't made the link quite right (but you had provided the photbucket address).

The quick way is have photobucket open at the same time in a different window, type your message/text here, leave a space, the go to photobucket and click on IMG Code beneath the photo you want (watch the code then go blue as it gets copied), back to your message window and "Shift"+"Ins" (keyboard shortcut for "paste") and the link including the all important [IMG][/IMG] should appear either side of the photobucket URL. Leave another space before more text or links. Then check it worked on Preview Post. It looks like you didn't put a space so the IMG bits didn't copy.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, I might have to have a go at the Ford gearbox conversion when I get some spares time (2015 looks good!) I drove a Midget with one a couple of years back and was rather impressed by it.

As for posting pictures hopefully this will help:

To Rob H. I have just realised that yopu were talking about the Sierrs conversion when you mentioned Frontline.DONT buy this kit from them ! They buy them from the Morris Minor Centre in Birmingham and add about 30%.My reference to steering arms was in relation to their front suspension conversion, which you have probably realised. Many thanks for the info on posting pics. I will have another go sometime although to a clot like me most computer instructions appear to me to be written on Hindustani dialect.
