went to look at a 94 LWB hightop tonight

89K, 2.5 diesel, front wings are rotten, smokes a fair bit, and the alternator is dead (the trip back was scary in the snow with no lights/wipers!), and out of tax at the end of the month (£150)

he was asking £500, but I offered him £300 and hes thinking about it

whats that think on the back of the alternator? power steering pump?

can imagine its not cheap?

Joey, i cant picture what your talking about in my head, but its likely to be a vacuum pump.

Vx Astra's do the same with thier alternators.

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

Rotherham, South Yorkshire

I'd have a 70's transit they are pretty cool.

You can't fit a mini in the back of a big Renault Master. I tried and failed.

bit of an update, well chuffed with the van, starts first flick, not a hint of smoke, and accelerates/brakes fine etc

only issue is the diff whines a litt, not on accel, or cruise, but when you let off the gas and let it slow by itself?

a friend of the family who has had transits all his life sayis its nothing to worry about and one of his did it from pretty much new, but its annoying me so id like to get it sussed.

tomorrow im gonna make sure the diffs oil is topped up to rule that out, but do you guys have any other ideas?

apparently these LWB's have centre bearings which can do this too? Are these a cheap/easy fix?
