I am looking into it. Basically all can be converted, but with some you end up with the terminal stud very close to the block. If you are happy to have it like this then I can see about a price.

I think it is possible to open them up and move the stud, though don't quote me on this.

I'll modify a starter for £35. The main contacts are about the only things that wear out on these starters and i can fit a new set for an extra £10. (only if they need it)

The best ones to use are off the honda engined rover 200 or 400 series car or the Honda civic. these are the correct orientation to use on the mini. Unfortunately there are quite a few different starters fitted to those cars so you have to see a picture to determine if its the correct one. If you look at the rear of the starter,(round motor on top ) the main electrical connections want to be on the right hand side of the starter, with the main cable that connects the motor to the solenoid to be on the left.

The ones fitted to toyota MR2's are the wrong orientation if you want the starter to fit as close to the block as possible. I made the starters fit on upside down to give maximum clearance for intercoolers and to miss the dizzy. To do this the conections have to be on the right hand side, so when fitted upside down they are on the left, furthest away from the block. The mr2 ones might be made to fit but i wouldn't know what orientation they would end up at and what they would clash with.

What i am trying to say is, I know the correct one to fit by looking at them and not really sure of all the cars they are fitted to, there are so many different ones out there. I have tended to buy any starters i can find, and then depending on the orientation of the connections convert them to either Imp or Mini. I am happy to convert any starters but i haven't got a list of doner cars. plus i would really need a photo first to see if its the right one
