I used to listen for knock on the alternator bracket but you get too much noise from the alternator as well as the timing chain. I have found the best place so far to be on the heater tap take off bolts, however this isnt ideal! I have just got another stepthosope sp? that i am going to fit on a head stud betwwen cyclinder 2,3 |

controlling boost would be a mega slow way of preventing knock though.
9.85 @ 145mph
